Dr. Kara Theis grew up in southern Minnesota and received her undergraduate and veterinary degrees from the University of Minnesota.  She graduated in 2010 and completed an Internship at Stillwater Equine in Stillwater, MN.  Dr. Theis began her racetrack Veterinary career in 2015.  In 2018 she joined the ESMS team in a part-time capacity and is now working full-time at various racetracks around the country as she is licensed in 6 racing jurisdictions.  In her spare time, Dr. Theis enjoys cooking, riding, and being outdoors.
